Hi everyone, I'm Nihad Memić. I'm 18 years old. I started at Souki.com on 21 february 2007 as a trainee.
At this moment I'm busy with the Libelle summerweeks that are coming in two weeks.
It's the first time in my life that I'm participating in such a huge event.
So I'm very excited about it.

This was my first post on this blog.
I'll post on this blog every week about the things that I'm working on and maybe also about some personal things :P.

Beaten by a 4 year old...

So the last two years where a mega rollercoaster ride. Crazy workweeks and hours. So after our launch I wanted to spend some extra time with our kids. Oliver the oldest is four years old, and Flynn is one and a halve.

Being a vivid gamer I wanted to introduce my eldest to soccer, on the xbox 360. It sounded fun to him, and he had played with the console before, mostly to play Viva Pinata. I explained to him which controls did what, and let him pick his team: The Netherlands. Because I wanted to give him a change I choose for the well know soccernation of Belgium.

Once we started I quickly regreted my choice, I should have gone for Italy or Germany. After 3 minutes of playing, my son made a beautifull pass from Davids to Van Persie, and Lord behold, he scored........ Oliver so hard and long that he almost through up. (in the main time, I still wasn't able to score..) Now you need to know that I had no intention of letting him win ;-). So I tried harder, but alas no succes. Before the end of the match I was beaten 0-2. So much for my 27 years of gaming experience, luckly I can still beat him in a real soccer game...

Just a quick update

Today Ruud started. Ruud is going to build our framework to search cross social network to those people who have the same interest as yourselves or people that you are interested in. This will be no small feet since there are around 360 million profiles, on sites such as, hyves, myspace, linkedin and xing. Not to mention the smaller sites.

Our team as been working hard to implement the next feature wave, "IM for Everyone". In a few weeks time (cross my fingers) we will let everybody use Souki.com to IM to their friends across other closed and open protocols, web based and with a single sign in. And we show you who is around and what people have the same interests, or your TasteTwins.

In the mean time our mobile team has been working hard to get everything in place for there moment of fame "Souki goes Mobile". The mobile application will let you do everything the internet client does, so location based search, and offcourse free SMS via our mobile client.

Our Marketing Team has launched our Viral Friday video's, drop me a line if you want to be included or outcluded...

But the biggest news would be that we have set a date to Liberate the United States: the fourth of July. ;-)
