The big idea…..
We have always been a huge fans of going out. Restaurants, cafes, bars, you name it, if was fun we wanted to be there. Somewhere in 2005 it dawned that there’s one big problem with discovering new places, YOU DON’T KNOW THEM.
Sure there are some ways around, ask your friends, or scout the internet. Both hardly give satisfying results. Why? Simply because those people operate on a different mental model of what is fun compared to yours.
With friend you know well you can adjust this shortcoming by applying some translating, aka “Jim likes snails and cheap French fries = don’t go where he says its great.” On the net you have no reference to the results you get, so basically the results are close to worthless. Enter our idea.
Souki connects places and people based on mutual reviews. Our hypothesis is that the more a person matches your reviews the better he/she predicts what you like.
